Description
Chablis Premier Cru Les Forneaux Opallion 2020 LC Poitout
Variety: Chardonnay 100%
Organic Terra Vitis
Straw yellow color with light gold shades.
The nose has refined and classy aromas. Citrus fruits are distinguished, then orange blossoms, rennet apple, white peach and pear. Hints of spices discreetly define the outline, finally stretches of aromatic herbs lengthen and define an olfactory profile of great caliber.
On the palate the minerality shines, and together with the freshness of acidity, they draw an excellent structure. The volume expressed by the softness is remarkable, so as to be already in balance between its parts. In the retro olfaction aromas of basil and citrus arrive.
The Chablis Premier Cru Les Forneaux represents the balance between elegance and power. It will evolve over time, giving different sensations every year. Will become a great Burgundy wine
In addition to seafood and oysters, it effectively accompanies dishes with creams and sauces, foie gras and spicy and blue cheeses.
Chablis Premier Cru Les Forneaux Opallion 2020 LC Poitout
The Premier Cru Les Fourneaux is located in the commune of Fleys.
Soil: has a thin, stone-rich surface layer. It is one of the best premier crus, and it is also one of the smallest in size.
The part of the vineyard owned by Louis and Catherine is one of the best in the whole Cru. The slope is remarkable, as is the large presence of stones. Geographically it is the closest vineyard to the Domaine LC Poitotu
ExposureSolar: towards the south and, consequently, enjoys an exceptional sun that reverberates on the white stones.
It is a relatively young grape that expresses a lot of minerality.
Harvest carried out manually, with static settling of the juice after pressing. Alcoholic fermentation is carried out in stainless steel containers at a controlled temperature. In the same containers it carries out the malolactic transformation.
All the chablis of the Domaine Poitout are refined exclusively in stainless steel, to better enhance the minerality and characteristics of the terroir.
