Gewürztraminer Turmhof is produced from two different vineyards. One is located in the Niclara hamlet of the municipality of Cortaccia, and the other in Cortaccia. The first has a gravelly soil with calcareous sediments of morainic origin. The second with a more distinctly clayey matrix.
Altitude: from 260 meters to 400 meters above sea level, while sun exposure is to the south, south-east.
Training system and vine density: espalier with guyot pruning, while the plant density varies from 6000 to 7000 plants per hectare.
The yield is 40-50 hectoliters per hectare.
After the harvest, carried out manually, it carries out the alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel containers at a controlled temperature of 20 ° C. It is aged in the same containers, in contact with the yeasts, for a minimum period of 7 months.

Straw yellow color tending to gold.
The nose has exuberant aromas of exotic fruit, with litchis and pineapple in evidence. The local fruit is represented by the apricot and fleshy yellow peach. Flowers cannot be missing, with the pink rose and the intensity of the oleander. Having to choose a color, also between pink and red. Spices are added and the aromatic picture closes with variety.
On the palate it is rich and medium fat. It has consistency, by virtue of the triad of softness, all beautiful present. Alcohol content, poly alcohols and sugar residue compete for the best palm. The hardness is represented by the acidity that keeps the structure very rigid.
Excellent Gewürztraminer, always among the best representations, also in relation to the relationship between quality and price.
Accompanies fatty, semi-fat and grilled shellfish. Spicy oriental dishes and blue cheeses.
