Description
Toscana Merlot Cupinero 2018 Col Di Bacche
Variety: Merlot 98% and Cabernet Sauvignon 2%
Intense ruby red with garnet shadows
The nose lets go of all its power, with intense and complex aromas of dark and ripe berries: blackberry, blueberry, and cassis. Notes of tobacco, leather, white pepper and the intriguing notes of the extinguished fireplace do not linger. The sensations of Mediterranean scrub in general are better defined in basil. Extremely clean, it also shines for the quality of the perfumes. It excites besides pleasure.
On the palate it stretches gracefully between the ripe texture of tannins and the thickness of the sip; between the heat of the degree with acidity and minerality. In short, it has intensity, structure and elegance in placing itself. It extends the sip, and expresses aromas of wild berry jam, vanilla and aromatic herbs.
SuperTuscan of great thickness and class, Col di Bacche presents us with a splendid interpretation of Merlot from southern Tuscany, and in soils that are affected by the proximity to the sea.

Vineyard is planted with the spurred cordon training system, with a density of about 5000 5500 plants per hectare.
The grapes undergo a rigorous manual selection during the harvest. The same is done manually in the first ten days of September. Alcoholic fermentation follows in stainless steel containers at a controlled temperature of about 28 ° C for a period ranging from 18 to 21 days. In this period of time, continuous pumping over of the marc cap is carried out.
It ages for 12 months in French oak barrels, partly new, partly used. After the months of maturation in the wood, it is bottled and after a stabilizing rest it arrives on the market.
