The aromas of ripe red fruit and already in jam are shown first. Here are some hints of sweet spices, tobacco and chocolate.
The palate is substantial with a slight imbalance on the softness. Enveloping and conspicuous it is endowed with a long stay.

The grapes are grown exclusively in the municipality of San Marzano, in the province of Taranto. The altitude is about 100 meters above sea level.
Soil is clayey to medium mixture, shallow and with good presence of skeleton.
Type of cultivation is espalier with guyot pruning, while the density is of 4,500 vines per hectare.
Harvest usually takes place in the second half of September.
After having arrived in the cellar, the grapes, macerate at a controlled temperature for about 10 days, consequently the alcoholic fermentation starts with selected yeasts.
Refine in French oak barrels for 6 months.
