Description
Roero Rosso 2019 Matteo Correggia
Variety: Nebbiolo 100%
Certified organic
Pale ruby red.
The nose has aromas of fresh fruit, with cherry and plum, then of flowers with violet. There follow the notes of earth, wood, and that set of scents that characterize the undergrowth. Some vegetal features just mentioned increase the complexity and the pleasantness of the whole.
On the palate it stands out for the good balance between hardness and softness. In addition to the obvious tannin, we have a remarkable minerality extracted from the sandy soils typical of the other part of the Tanaro. The whole is always pleasant, having as pride the drinkability.
Roero is a very versatile red wine that easily accompanies many dishes from both traditional cuisine, as well as modern and experimental ones. Matteo Correggia offers us an excellent example of Nebbiolo from sandy soils. Daily wine, which satisfies without costing excessively.
