Description
Mitterberg Zweigelt Primus 2019 Marinushof
Zweigelt 100%
Intense ruby red
The nose shows different aromas, of ripe fruit, black cherries and blackberries in particular. There are also notes of tobacco, leather and licorice, together with the more vegetal ones of aromatic herbs and undergrowth. Intense and clean, it has an olfactory aspect of absolute respect.
On the palate it is well designed, starting from the solid and firm structure. Tannins and acidity are supported, allowing the softness to create a voluminous and complete sip. Verticality concludes by expanding the capacity to satisfy and excite. It has aromas of cherry and blackberry, aromatic herbs and hot spices.
Zweigelt is a grape variety obtained in 1922 in Austria by Professor Zweigelt by crossing Franconia X St Laurent. It combines the qualities of its parents: Franconian fruit and body with the elegance and longevity of San Lorenzo. Grown mainly in Austria, it has some pockets of interest in South Tyrol, where it stands out for its uniqueness.
