The grapes that make up the Langhe Nebbiolo La Chiusa are grown for the most part in the San Luigi a Dogliani vineyard and the rest in Monforte d’Alba.
Soil: the conformation of the land is defined as the formation of Lequio, created about 10 million years ago in the Tortonian era. In detail, the two areas are similar, and have stratifications of clay, sand, marine fossils and calcium carbonate, which, by compressing, gave rise to light marls. The soil can be, in its two extremes, either clayey or calcareous. Going down the percentage of the first salt that of the second create different types of Marne. When they tend to red, the presence of clay is higher than that of calcium carbonate, while it is tending to white when it is vice versa.

Almost all the processes in the vineyard are carried out manually, including the harvest, which takes place by depositing the grapes in small 20kg crates.
The harvest period, in normal climate conditions, takes place between late October and early November.
After removing the stalks before pressing the grapes, ferment successively in thermoregulated stainless steel tanks. Carries out the malo-lactic transformation and then always refines in large unroasted French oak barrels.
The filtration takes place by decanting and decanting, consequently the bottling is carried out without any filtration or clarification.

Ruby red with garnet reflections.
The nose has classic aromas, intense and of excellent quality, so the top ones are of ripe fruit and flowers: with red plum and violet in particular. The cinchona and rhubarb anticipate, but only in the enunciation, the more vegetable ones and the spices.
On the palate it stretches between the hardnesses, headed by the tannins, and the softnesses from the creamy base. Balanced and harmonious, it has both volume and structure. The variety is clearly identifiable. also by virtue of the aromas that emanate from the oral cavity, of china and ripe fruit.
The synthesis of the various aspects leads Chionetti to offer us an excellent expression of Langhe Nebbiolo, elegant and powerful together.
