Chianti Classico Riserva 2013 Podere Torcilacqua
Variety: Sangiovese 100%
Intense ruby red.
The nose has intense and very fine head aromas. We can observe the fruit from the stem with the cherry and the black cherry. Follow the berries with blackberry and some notes of scrub and wild berries. For the flowers we observe the red rose and the geranium. Also some sections of wild varietal typical of the Sangiovese are added to the rest. Do not miss the undergrowth and toasted aromas of cigar tobacco and vanilla.
On the palate it has an impressive balance, between hardness to be reported in all three declinations, tannins, acidity and minerality. The perfect vintage in Badia a Passignano allowed the harvesting of a grape without any defect and with great quality level. That’s why even the softness is in great shape.
Extracted from the ripe fruit, the tannin appears refined in its tactile manifestation. Beautiful persistence of taste. In the back smell aromas of fresh fruit and spices arrive.

Chianti Classico Riserva 2013 Podere Torcilacqua
Podere Torcilacqua is a small farm located in Badia a Passignano. It is about 400 meters high and is well exposed for sunshine and ventilation.
The company covers a total of about 20 hectares, divided as follows: 7 hectares of vineyards, 7 hectares of olive groves and the rest of the woodland. The luck is to have the vineyards in the best terroir of Chianti: Badia a Passignano.
In ancient times it was also called the zone of the 13th. Precisely, due to the natural tendency to bring the grapes to perfect ripeness, so that each year they developed an alcohol content higher than 13.
To be precise, the vineyards of the Torcilacqua farm are located on the highest part of the hill, effectively separating the vineyards where the Antinori family cultivates grapes for Solaia and Tignanello. The rest is done by the owners, who are also the agronomist and the oenologist, two Lombards, former classmates, to whom we certainly applaud.
