Chianti Classico Gran Selezione Casasilia 2015 Poggio al Sole
Ruby red color
The nose has rich aromas, and well understood. It opens with ripe red fruit, cherry, and sour cherry. Turning the glass comes the blackberry, and the scents of the forest, with fallen leaves, and broken branches. Add cigar tobacco and vanilla bean. Overall the aromas are intense, different, and very well designed. Of granfe quality and charm.
On the palate it is harmonious and in great balance. Entrance is impetuous, and immediately enveloping. The structure of the hardness is very solid, and the volume expressed by the softness is intense and copious. The tannic texture is precise, with vivid acidity and distinguishable minerality. It concludes with aromas of sour cherries in alcohol and wild berries.
Really a great Chianti Gran Selezione, awarded by Decanter with 97 points out of 100.
