Description
Bolgheri Rosso Borgeri 2020 Giorgio Meletti Cavallari
Variety: Cabernet Sauvignon 40%, Merlot 40% e Syrah 20%.
Intense ruby red, with purple shadows in the area of lesser thickness.
On the nose the idea of an enlarged Bordeaux blend is evident, coming from the coasts of Tuscany. Ripe and fresh red fruit, cherry in particular, stands out among the top scents. Green vegetable notes follow, such as pepper and celery stalk. Cigar tobacco, black pepper and other spices sway in the glass.
In the mouth it has good presence, with evident hardness and softness at the height. In evidence a good acidity and on the other hand the creaminess of the glycerines. Persistent in the finish with aromas of blueberry, dried flowers and spices. Wine, precise, without any smudging. Endowed with elegance and finesse.
Giorgio Meletti Cavallari gives us a convincing example of Bolgheri, a Tuscan red wine, simple in its intentions, higher than expected in its manifestation.
Happily accompanies many dishes of traditional Tuscan cuisine. Excellent with grilled lamb chops, and with three-colored peppers sautéed with onion, garlic and thyme.
