Description
Barolo Brunate 2018 Claudio Boggione
Variety: Nebbiolo 100%
Organic Green Experience.
Ruby red color with garnet shadows.
Intense and exciting, like all the great Barolo. The aromas are of ripe stem fruit, violet, forest, and aromatic herbs. Some spices, and the classic white peach. China and rhubarb make it even more complex. In addition to the quantity, the excellent quality of the scents should be rewarded.
On the palate it has an excellent volume, the result of a largely sunny vintage. However, the hardness is certainly not long in coming, and with a nice texture of tannins, and minerality, they balance the palate. Remarkable depth and persistence for a return of plum and cherry aromas in alcohol.
Hot vintage, which has brought well ripe fruit, consequently exuberant Baroli and Barbareschi ready in advance.

The harvest is done manually with careful selection of the grapes.
After arriving in the cellar the grapes are rasped and left to ferment without adding selected yeasts, in stainless steel containers with a wide base. This phase lasts from 15 to 20 days, depending on the year, with daily pumping over, to extract the greatest amount of color.
It is aged for a first time in large Slavonian oak barrels, and after decanting, the total maturation of 36 months ends in large-sized French oak barrels. After bottling without filtration, it remains in the bottle at least one year before marketing.
