Intense ruby red with evident purple reflections.
On the nose it distributes luxuriant aromas of fruit, with red plum, cassis and blackberry. Slight vegetal notes of grass, and red flowers, spices and undergrowth increase the pleasantness of the olfactory profile.
On the palate it shows a well-designed and defined structure of hardness, and at the same time a creaminess suitable to bring the wine towards balance and harmony. Persistent memory between aromas of fresh fruit, Mediterranean scrub and spices.
Accompanies aged cheeses, traditional cured meats. First courses with beef and hare ragout. Excellent with red beans stir-fried with onion, celery, carrot, chilli and parsley.
Among the Barbera, that of Burzi is distinguished by the precision and quality of the prospect of perfumes, and also by the freshness expressed on the palate.

Barbera d’Alba Plaustra 2019 Burzi
The cultivation area is Santa Maria di La Morra, on the side historically called Plaustra.
Age of the vine: it was planted in 2008 with a high density of 8000 plants per hectare. The goal is to have normal plant competition, so as to limit production.
The type of cultivation is espalier with guyot pruning with 5 buds, with a yield of about 1.2 / 1.3 kg per plant.
After the harvest, carried out manually, it macerates for 6 days at a controlled temperature in stainless steel containers. In the same containers it carries out the malolactic transformation and refines in the same containers on the fermentation residues for at least 6 months.
