Description
Amarone della Valpolicella Conte Gastone 2016 Massimago
Variety: Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella.
Certified organic
Intense ruby red with garnet veins.
The nose has exuberant head aromas of plum jam and spices. By swirling the glass, one can also distinguish cherry jam and black cherry in spirit, pipe tobacco, cinnamon, cloves and black pepper.
On the palate it has great structure and at the same time elegance. The relationship between hardness and softness is good, despite the obvious predominance of softness. The creaminess of the poly alcohols is remarkable, and the sweetness of the alcohol content. Among the hardnesses, the acidity and the sapidity of the minerals stand out. Good shape, excellent substance. Overall it is a decidedly fascinating wine. The aromas that reach the nasal receptors are fruit, flowers, spices and aromatic herbs. Very persistent.
Venetian red wine, powerful and at the same time agile. Excellent Amarone capable of giving prestige to the whole denomination.
It goes well with braised donkey, beef with Rovato oil and wild boar with polenta.

Before alcoholic fermentation, a cold maceration is carried out for five days. Contact with the skins at low temperatures increases the extraction of primary perfumes and body of the future wine. Once the alcoholic fermentation is over, they allow the malo lactic fermentation to take place and then the aging in French oak barriques begins for a period of 2 years. After a further 12 months of bottle it arrives on the market.
