Amarone della Valpolicella Classico 2012 Villabella
Variety: Corvina 70%, Rondinella 20%, Corvinone 10%
Grapes come from the Valpolicella Classica vineyards located in the municipalities of Sant’Ambrogio, San Pietro in Cariano, Marano, Fumane and Negrar, on the hills north-west of Verona.
Soil is calcareous clay with good presence of stones.
Type of cultivation is the traditional Veronese pergola.
Harvest takes place at the end of September.
Naturally for 120 days, it is dried in fruit, then crushed and fermented in stainless steel containers at a controlled temperature for 18 or 20 days.
Aged for 3 years in traditional large Slavonian oak barrels. After bottling, it remains in the cellars for another six months.

Intense ruby red.
The nose is characterized by ripe fruit, which becomes jam of berries such as blackberry, blueberry and finally cherry. Do not miss the violet and sweet spices such as vanilla, cinnamon, white pepper and chocolate. Also the pipe tobacco is added embellishing the whole.
Full-bodied but gentle entry into the mouth, where the structure brought by the unbalancing to the softness the whole giving the impression of a full-bodied wine. Clean and precise. Persistent and very long the final.
A good Amarone at reasonable prices.
