Color Ruby red.
The nose has precise and clean aromas of small berries, red currants and, cassis and black cherries. Also some ideas of red rose, and rose ai perceive among the floral. Follow the scents of the forest in autumn, with tulle its variations: then the fallen leaves, the bark of the trees, the open curls of the chestnuts and the musk.
On the palate it remains up to the promises made to the nose, showing a splendid ability to move in balance between form and substance. Excellent thickness of the sip, stuck in the punctual structure. Just as the persistence is excellent. In retro olfaction, aromas of red currant and sweet spices reach the nasal receptors.
Pinot Nero Italian of class and substance, perfectly representative of the prestigious Mazzon plain, from which the grapes come. Certainly the best Italian Pinot Nero cru.
Alto Adige Pinot Nero Mazon 2018 Kollerhof
Egna and therefore the Mazzon plateau in Italian or Mazon in Alto Atesino, are in the province of Bolzano, south of South Tyrol. The average altitude is 500 meters above sea level. First plant experiments with Pinot Noir cuttings in Mazon were made way back in 1878, while in 1898 a “pinot noir from Mazzon” was awarded for the first time at a wine fair in Vienna.
The Maso Kollerhof has seventeenth-century origins. Its existence is certified by its presence in the Teresian land register of 1775. Since 1965 it has belonged to the Visintin family, who began to cultivate the vineyards as was the tradition in that period in the pergola, since 2000 the vineyards are trained in spurred cordon. The vineyards of the Maso Kollerhof in Mazon have an area of 4 hectares.
The grapes are grown following the dictates of organic farming.
