Description
Friuli Colli Orientali Merlot 2017 Irene Cencig
Variety: Merlot 100%
Irene Cencig has the vineyards geographically and administratively in the Spessa hamlet of the municipality of Cividale del Friuli. The farm dates back to 1963, while the first vineyard was of the Tocai variety, now called Friulano in 1970. Just after the beginning of the new millennium, Irene converts all agricultural production following the principles of organic farming.
The next project that will be completed will be the first bottles of ribolla gialla and refosco dalla peduncolo rosso. The two native Friuli varieties par excellence.
Friuli Colli Orientali Merlot 2017 Irene Cencig
Intense ruby red color.
The nose has luxuriant aromas of ripe and pulpy berries. Blackberry precedes sweet notes of spices, with vanilla and cinnamon. Even undergrowth notes in autumn, with moss, leaves, chestnuts and mushrooms. The cleaning of all Irene wines is a constant reward.
On the palate it is well defined in the skeleton, exactly as it is plentiful and variegated in softness. Excellent balance and harmony between the parts. Excellent wine to drink now, but with great growth prospects for another five, seven years.
Merlot representative of the territory and the variety of belonging, Irene’s Merlot conquers and fully satisfies.
Even for him the relationship between quality and price is advantageous.
