Barbera d’Alba Sagrin 2017 Raineri

Variety: Barbera 100%

The grapes that create Barbera d’Alba Sagrin are grown in the municipality of Monforte d’Alba.

Sun exposure: the vineyard faces south-west, while the average altitude is 300 meters above sea level.

Soil: the soil is composed of sand, limestone marl and clay.

The type of training is counter espalier with guyot pruning, with a yield of 60 quintals per hectare.

Alcoholic fermentation takes place in steel tanks with temperature control. The maceration period is approximately 14 days. Once the malo-lactic transformation is over, it passes into French oak barrels used for about 14 months. It undergoes neither filtration nor clarification before bottling.

Intense ruby ​​red color, almost impenetrable.

The nose immediately shows the class of which it is provided, intense, complex and fine with aromas of cherry and black cherry, in clear evidence, dark berries, blackberry. Walnut and almond husk follow, then the spices with vanilla and cloves and especially the pepper are thin.

In the mouth, it confirms the variety, so it is pleasantly acidic, few tannins and instead the creaminess of the sugar alcohols finely supports the balance. Spices come back and remain for a long and pleasant finish.
