Description
Champagne extra-brut Cuvée 741 Jacquesson
Variety: Chardonnay 57%, Pinot Nero 21% e Pinot Meunier 22%.
The year of reference is 2013. The grapes come from the vineyards located in the municipalities of Aÿ, Dizy, Hautvillers, Avize and Oiry
Winter was very cold and snowy. Spring and early summer have continued maintaining the same imprint, therefore in a cold and damp climate, generating dripping and milling, thus delaying flowering and subsequent maturation. From August things have changed for the better, and the coveted heat has arrived which has allowed us to reach an optimal maturation, also from the phenological point of view. The harvest was late, but very satisfying. In particular, the pinot noir from A and Dizy and the chardonnay from Avize were interesting. The assembly was completed by some “vins de réserve” for a percentage of 30%.
Champagne extra-brut Cuvée 741 Jacquesson
The assembly of wines from the same grape harvest, coming from dozens of parcels, is completed with some of their predecessors: the “vins de réserve”, kept in the cellar for several years. In this process it becomes essential to capture the best of each vintage, avoiding to deny the variations of each harvest. They number the “Cuvées” to date them and to highlight their different personalities.
