Nebbiolo d’Alba 2018 Antica Cascina dei Conti di Roero
Nebbiolo 100%
They follow and adopt the principles of the protocol The Green Experience
Ruby red.
The nose has aromas of fresh fruit, both from stem and shrub. Red plum and cherries, blackberries and strawberries. There is no shortage of flowers with rose, violet and peony. Even the scents of leather, dry earth and forest are perceived in the outline.
On the palate it strengthens its value, with a texture of gentle and not coldly pungent tannins, followed by a remarkable minerality. The creaminess supports and backs this structure for a great Nebbiolo with a fine palate and well-defined class.
If seen overall Nebbiolo 2018 reaches and exceeds excellence and without hesitation.
Nebbiolo d’Alba 2018 Antica Cascina dei Conti di Roero
The vineyards used for the production of Nebbiolo d’Alba are grown around the Valmera farmhouse, in the municipality of Vezza d’Alba. The arrangement recalls the Greek amphitheatres, with in the center instead of the stage, the Cellar and the plants, which surround it, rise upwards.
Soil is sandy marl, a reminder of a sea that once covered these lands. The particularity of the land allows Nebbiolo to express itself in a typically elegant way.
After the harvest carried out manually, alcoholic fermentation takes place in steel containers, at controlled temperature for an average time of 15 days. After the first one, the transfer is made in the tank where it is lactic.
A part of the mass ages in second passage barriques and the remaining part in large barrels for about 8-9 months. Finally we move on to the steel assembly for 4-5 months, before going to the last container before the inevitable glass.
