On the nose the aromas of ripe fresh fruit stand out, in particular rennet apple, yellow peach and apricot. The floral ideas brought by the gerbera, the daisy and the chamomile are no less clear. Also some aromatic herbs are added to embellish the fascinating olfactory prospect. The set of perfumes is truly intriguing and rich, for the best Filotto ever.

On the palate it has presence and at the same time elegance. Balanced between hardness and softness. On the different fronts a good creaminess made by the sugar alcohols and the vivid acidity, endemic trait of the Verdicchio vine are distinguished. Volume expressed is excellent, due to the abundance of the sip, of absolute respect. The finish is persistent where subtle aromas of hydrocarbon emerge.

The whole acquires a total score, which one can hardly imagine, while winning numerous prizes and awards.

Filodivino is no longer a young company with a bright future, but an overt reality. The further demonstration lies in the choice not to go out with the Filotto 2016, because it is not considered adequate to the self-imposed quality standards.

Excellent companion to first courses with creams, stuffed pasta and shellfish. Try it also with stewed legumes enriched with oriental spices, in particular turmeric and curry.

Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi Classico Superiore Filotto 2017 Filodivino

The grapes are grown in the classic area, in a single vineyard located in the municipality of San Marcello in the province of Ancona.

Plants are over 50 years old, and the type of cultivation involves 2500 plants per hectare.

The soil is clayey, and when wet it becomes compact and takes on the characteristic blue color.

Harvested last, the grapes for the production of Verdicchio Riserva Dino and Superiore Filotto, ferment in stainless steel containers, leaving the different parcels separate. After carrying out the malolactic transformation, it refines, always in steel, for a period of at least 6 months. Filtration, bottling and additional rest for a minimum of 6 months.

In any case, the Superior Filotto, how much the reserve Dino come to the market when they are ready, and not before.
