Description
Corbieres Blanc Vielle Vignes 2017 Fontareche
Variety: Roussanne 60% and Grenache Blanc 40%
Pale straw yellow color.
The nose has aromas of white flowers with hawthorn and daisy, and fruit, with rennet apple, peach and apricot. Subtle, but clearly perceptible facets of spices make it intriguing.
On the palate it stretches with agility and prestige between hardness and softness, for a sip that is immediate and pleasant. A slight residual sugar ensures roundness and softness to the whole.
It accompanies fish with fatty meat, such as salmon, cooked on stone, semi-seasoned cheeses, sautéed courgettes with shallots, chilli and basil.
Corbieres Blanc Vielle Vignes 2017 Fontareche
The Chateau Fontareche is located in the far south of France, almost on the border with Spain. Very close to Lèzignan Corbières, almost halfway between Carcassonne and Narbonne.
Estate covers 200 hectares, all around the Chateau.
The climate is very arid, with rare rainfall. The conditions are extreme and at the same time ideal for the development of grapes, reduced in quantity but of high qualitative value.
After harvesting, it ferments in temperature-controlled stainless steel containers. In the same containers it is aged for at least 6 months.
