Description

Etna Bianco 2017 Graci

Variety: Carricante 70% and Catarratto 30%

Grapes come from vineyards in Contrada Arcurìa, a hamlet of Passopisciaro, municipality of Castiglione di Sicilia, on the north side of Etna. The altitude of the vineyard is 600 meters above sea level.

The soil is obviously of volcanic origin, therefore Bruno rich in skeleton, sometimes sandy, very rich in iron and high in nitrogen.

Type of system is alberello. The plant density includes 6300 vines per hectare.

The harvest usually takes place in the last week of October.

Without de-rasping, but only a light pressing, the alcoholic fermentation starts, which, carried out in cement tanks, is carried out without using selected yeasts.

Refine in the same containers and on the residues of the yeasts for six months

Etna Bianco 2017 Graci

Straw yellow with green reflections.

Scents of yellow citrus, lemon and cedar on the nose. Whirling the glass comes white wildflowers, distant echoes of sea, brackish, smells of stones and the oriental sandal.

On the palate the minerality previously intuited effectively constants the substance, and the acidity is vivid and rich. Good however the creaminess. The whole is just slightly unbalanced on hardness. In the retro olfation, the nose receptors come from classical fruit and citrus peel aromas.

As soon as you eat a crouton with raw ham, or a marinated anchovy, it becomes balanced and inviting. Persistent

Accompanies sea fish dishes, from appetizers, to the first, and the latter also rich and processed. Strepitoso, and would not even need to say, with oysters.
