Description
Barbaresco Riserva Santo Stefano Albesani 2012 Castello di Neive
Variety: Nebbiolo 100%
Garnet color with light orange reflections.
On the nose the range of perfumes is very thick, with great intensity and complexity. We pass from ripe fruit, with plum and cherry, to dried violet. The hints of undergrowth follow in autumn, with fallen leaves, chestnuts and hedgehogs, then cigar tobacco, cocoa, and spices, more tending towards sweet than spicy. Finally come the ideas of china, rhubarb and mint, endemic in the vine and typical of Terroir.
On the palate it can only confirm the right and copious expectations. Excellent texture of hardness, with tannins correctly in great sopolvero, followed by right acidity and minerality. The softnesses are defended by the notable presence of glycerine and the heat expressed by the alcohol content. In the back side the aromas of fruit, spices and mint arrive.
