Description

Alto Adige Pinot Bianco Anna 2016 Tiefenbrunner

Variety: Pinot Bianco 100%

The grapes are grown in two different vineyards: one south of Magrè and the other on the hills of Cortaccia. The altitude varies from 210 to 600 meters above sea level.

Soil: Limestone gravel from morainic sediments in Cortaccia, while in Magrè the soils are alluvial and consequently sandy.

Type of farming: Espalier with guyot and pergola pruning. The density, therefore, varies according to the type of plant, from 3500 to 6000 plants per hectare. First year of planting: 1977

Yield per hectare: from 50 to 60 hectoliters per hectare.

After the harvest, carried out manually, alcoholic fermentation takes place for 50% of the mass in large oak barrels, where it is aged for seven months on the first yeasts, with periodic stirring of the wine. The remaining 50% is fermented in steel tanks where it is left to refine, again for the same period, on fine yeasts.

Alto Adige Pinot Bianco Anna 2016 Tiefenbrunner

Straw yellow color.

The nose is rich, variegated with a fan, which opens with a yellow apple. Follows exotic fruits, white flowers and aromatic herbs.

The vintage grants more defined expressiveness, so in the mouth it is already composed, with pronounced minerality and acidity but in perfect balance with pseudo-alcohols and alcohol.

The state of maturation now gives it great facets both in the aromas, as in the consistency on the palate. If you want to know the great evolutionary abilities of the Alto Adige wines, this is a wine not to be missed.
